THE INSTRUCTIONS NEEDED TO BE A BIT MORE DETAILED..IM A VERY MECHANICAL PERSON OI I FIGURED IT OUT ..THE PICTURES COULD BE A LITTLE MORE DETAILED FOR THE AVERAGE JOE..BUT THE QUALITY AND FITMET IS GREAT FOR THE PRICE..

I like it I wanted the hard tri flip because I had the soft already and I figured the hard would just be a step up but they sent me it and it said it would fit but it was short I was upset finally got this one and it fits some confusing with the hardware but I figured it out love it it’s just like the original maybe better

Installation takes a bit longer fitting the brackets into the Tacoma rail system but the result is a very solid and secure system to mount the cover. The parts are good quality and finish. I would recommend this product and vendor.

This fits perfectly for a 1998 Tacoma extended SR5, 4 x 2 Truck. My son needed to fit his drum set in the back, out of the weather. This fits the bill perfectly and for a great price, easy to install. We had to drill a few holes to ensure the top did not come loose not a big deal though. Very happy with the purchase.

This is such a dang good value. I had a bit of a custom bed topper project I wanted to do, but just the cost of materials were going to be well over $300. This kit includes everything and appears to be really thoughtfully constructed. I would absolutely buy it again. For reference this kit fit my 1986 Toyota pickup (regular bed) perfectly.

Ok I received product, installation was straight forward simple. Only problem was the as others have stated, the rail clamps have a lot of play side to side. However, while it clamps down enough to keep it secured when it’s all completed. If I wanted it tighter I would modify the clamps by drilling a hole and tapping a screw through the clamp to tighten against the frame of the truck itself. I like the the fact it’s taught once completely done. I’m keeping it. It looks awesome, and does what it’s intended. They need to work on the clamp design for a more secure fit.

OK. First of all, if you are looking at this for a ’19, yes it fits. There is no difference between the ’18 and ’19 beds. If you ask these guys they will eventually get back to you and tell you it will not fit a ’19. I have confirmed with Toyota there is no difference in the beds, and I now have it installed on my ’19.

The system for attaching it to the truck leaves a little to be desired (read that as it is ridiculously stupid) when I’m used to a Bakflip, but hey, really, this cost $300 compared to almost $1000 for a Bakflip. Other than the inferior way it attaches to the truck, it appears to be everything the Bakflip is.

Now, the instruction sheet. Oh my GOSH! I wish I hadn’t tossed it so I could include a picture of it. Without a doubt the biggest joke of an instruction sheet I have ever seen. So it took a half hour to install instead of 15 minutes. Not a big deal. Once you figure out how the stupid clamps work, its really pretty simple.

Now, what you need to know. This bed cover is square, well, rectangle. You know what I mean. The top of the Toyota bed tapers in from front to back, so it appears at first look that there is a major problem either with the bed or the cover. Just realize that the top of the bed tapers in and it is normal to have significantly more bed liner showing in the front than in the back.

Otherwise, I am pretty happy with the cover for costing less than half of a Bakflip for a folding hard cover. I would buy it again.

Edit 1 year later – So after 1 month one of the clamps broke. They use stupid plastic parts. And, get this, they do not offer or sell replacement parts. It broke? Tough luck. So I was going to return it, at their cost of course. To give them credit, they were fully prepared to refund me and pay for return shipping. They offered that if I would keep it they would refund me $100. I took the deal. I drove around for a year with 5 of the 6 clamps since I mostly keep it closed anyway. I have a friend that does small welding projects. He manufactured a way for that broken clamp to work. Took him 30 minutes and he charged me twenty bucks. I am otherwise really happy with it for what I paid for it.

I wish I had seen a warning like this before purchasing this truck bed cover. To start, the cover isn’t compatible with an existing truck bed liner, something the product description failed to mention. I wasn’t about to remove my perfectly good liner for a product that seemed “ok for the price,” so I decided to return it.

Here’s where the real nightmare began. After following all their return instructions and sending back the cover in perfect condition (I only unrolled and rolled it back up the same day), I received less than a third of what I originally paid. They claimed the product was used, despite it being in the same state I received it in.

It feels like they’re scamming customers by refunding a fraction of the cost and then reselling the product at full price. I can’t believe Amazon would even allow a shady business like this on their site. I thought Amazon had better standards for the sellers they work with, but clearly, this one slipped through the cracks.

If you’re thinking about buying this cover, consider yourself warned: this company doesn’t stand behind their products or their customers. And if you do buy, be prepared to resell it yourself if it doesn’t work out—because you won’t get your money back.
