It just doesn’t. You have 1 of 2 options, no seal by cab or not possible to shut the tailgate. It’s exactly 1 inch too long. It’s hard to see in the photos but it’s because the back rail sticks out 1 inch too far thus having to sit ontop of the bed frame instead of just behind it. Note I have the Factory spray in liner. Also point to note this makes the drop tailgate button useless because it binds the tailgate enough to stop it from popping.

For the price was expecting a lot more. The rubber bumpers which are needed are of poor design and material. This is why you see them for sale. 3 Mos old and fall off with the temperature change. Wth cheap plastic poorly fit plastic ends that are breaking off. The folds leak at every panel and haven’t seen one michigan winter. Do your research you’ll go a different route

Install took 3 hours. Has 7 hatches to fold up. Expected it to be same product I order previously 4 hatches to fold. Leaks like crazy. Obviously I can’t return it since it’s been installed. So this was a waste of money. Don’t purchase off Amazon. Order through a local install company so you get the warranty of the product.

We have been having problems with the cover shifting side to side. We called the company and they stated that we have the wrong cover. They stated that Amazon may have shipped us the wrong cover.

Put on my new 2023 Silverado truck. Much better than the soft cover I had on my old truck. Saw some reviews where someone said you could pull up the side and look in the bed. I don’t see how this is possible, with the latches on the cover. Does not leak and install, by myself, took less than an hour. NO drilling and you only need a wrench and a phillips screwdriver.

The BAKFlip MX4 was easy to install on my Chevy Silverado with an 8″ bed, which has a vinyl bed liner. It’s been in the rain and i didn’t see any leakage at all. I’ve made a couple of furniture moves that required the cover to be rolled out of the way, some with the front panel flat, and one that needed the full bed, with the front panel raised against the cabin window. The snap latches for the flat position and the struts for the raised position both worked great. My only complaint, and the reason for four stars instead of five, may be something that can’t be avoided because of differences in truck beds. When closing the cover, the side catches don’t always lock on both sides at first. I have to shift the cover a bit toward the non-locked side a bit to get both sides to lock. But it’s easy to do that, so that’s fairly minor. Also, not really an issue to me but something to be aware of – my remote tailgate release does release the tailgate, but with the cover down there is just enough friction with the tailgate that it does not automatically lower. I have the manual gate with power release – my guess is the power up/down gate would probably still lower.

Installation is pretty straight-forward, but get a friend to help, This thing is pretty heavy. I still need to make a few adjustments, but overall a great lid that allows access to the truck bed.
