Horrible. Second time using it the thing overheated after plugging it in for 15 mins and it melted, started to smoke and almost caught my shop on fire. I didn’t notice it until after my shop started getting smelly and hazy from the smoke it produced. Cheap garbage and dangerous. Don’t buy this. Buy a legit one from BriskHeat or something.

  2. Stevo

Using on oil pan on tym diesel tractor for easier cold starts. Self adhesive seems to be working well.

  3. stinson

I have it glued up okay and plugged it in once and it seems to work. I will know more later.

I bought this small heating pad to stick it to my Parts washer in the garage. Its kinda small and I wish I had gotten a larger one BUT….it does the job if you give it time. My washer holds 5 gallons of cleaning solvent and this pad gets hot quickly, it takes at least an hour before the solvent gets decently warmer. I havent heated it for any longer but I suspect it would really get it hot given enough time… Supposedly the pad will heat to 190 degrees F, I certainly do not want my solvent to get that hot. Yes, I recommend it but be wise about it’s use.

The thermostat control did not hold accurate tempter

I am using this as a pre-heater for my print bed in my 3d printer.

My print bed takes a long time to heat up so I will turn this on 10 minutes before I’m going to print something. It gets the bed temperature up 10 to 20 degrees hotter than ambient so then I don’t have to wait that long when I am ready to print.

I just wish it didn’t have the built in thermostat because I am controlling it with a temperature controller and a solid state relay. But overall it works well for my 3d printing pre-heating needs. I don’t care how cold it is outside lol

information was correct and delivery was quick

These definitely get hot and for 50 watts they are fairly economical to leave running. (Think 60 watt light build).
In my case the diesel that I installed this on has some other issue like bad glow plugs or something, but this does heat the oil pan or whatever surface you stick it on. Easy to install. Seems to stick on well enough if you clean the surface first.
