My unit was damaged in transit, instead of just swapping it out, it became a whole ordeal. I went from a previous user who loved the product to “hmm maybe time to try another vendor”.
My previous experiences were positive, this one was not..

I first tried a FitcamX on a 2023 LR Defender. Went right in and had no problems for the last year. 2024 ZR2 install need modification to 4 of the install tabs. The assembly would attached to the 2 forward mounting points, however the 4 rear tabs were too thick to fit through the ZR2 mounting points. I had to shave them down a little bit so they would slide through mounting slots. After modifying the tabs it clicked right in to place.
iPhone found and connected to the camera wifi with the default password. Like others have said, after about 30 seconds the truck steals the wifi from the camera and reconnects CarPlay. I suspect for stable connection I would need break the CarPlay connection through the truck’s entertainment center settings. I was able to keep the connection long enough to put the camera settings where I wanted them and will be removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into my MacBook if/when needed. Would be nice to have an easy fix for the wifi “issue.” Overall, great little camera for the price and integrates well into the stock interior. Chevy should offer the option to record the 360 surround cameras the ZR2 package comes with for a reasonable yearly fee.

I like the ease of installation, and the Oem look afterward. I did have issues with my order(It was cancelled twice for no reason), and the omission in the description about the rearview camera. I assumed it used my stock camera, but this is not the case. They provide a separate camera for this and the wire has to be run from there to the back of your vehicle.

I bought this because it looks factory. The installation was fairly easy even though I had to tap into the fuse box for power. I had a slight hiccup with finding accessory power(camera would not turn off after the truck shut off) and finally found a fuse that could be used, however it was a 3 pronged fuse and the camera did not come with one. After speaking with customer service they refunded me the difference to purchase a pigtail to fit it and it worked with no issues. Great customer service, video quality is spot on I’m very happy with my purchase.
