I just installed these yesterday on my Chevy 2500HD crew cab 4×4. They look great and are fairly sturdy. The instructions were a bit murky and the photos could have been better with a wider shot or illustration but I was able to figure them out within a few minutes. The sidesteps attach to the 3 bushings on each side of the cab. You simply remove the bolt (18mm socket) which secures each bushing and mount the support “arm” for the sidestep, then reinsert the bolt. There are 3 support arms for each side. Then you set each sidestep on the support arms and secure it with six, small “t” headed metric bolts, washers and nylon nuts. Those “t” bolts are fairly small and were quite tedious to deal with. Installing them took longer than the rest of the installation. You use the same type of “t” bolts, washers and nuts to attach each “step” to each sidestep. There are two “steps” on each sidestep, one for the forward door and one for the rear door. (I know what you’re thinking: I thought they would already be mounted to each sidestep but they weren’t.)
Overall, the sidesteps are a big improvement over the old. plastic ones I had before. Another small issue is that because the support arms attach to the rubber bushings on each side of the cab, they do flex a bit when you step on them. The bushings compress just a little (because they are rubber) and that causes the sidestep to flex. It’s not a lot of movement but you might expect the sidestep to be more rigid. It is a design issue, not an installation issue.

They are as described. Easy to install and adjustable. The only issue I have with these is the steel brackets are in two pieces and could have been made with heavier gage steel. They do support my weight though. And they are aluminum so they will not rust and I think they look great on my vehicle as well as being very functional. I recently bought new oversized tires and these have me the drop I needed to accommodate the truck’s additional height.
I love the running boards I purchased and I would love to thank the seller for the assistance to make sure I purchased the correct ones thank u would for sure buy from u again –

If you’re a hearty person, I would consider other options. These seem a little weak to me. Not to mention they come scuffed up, looking like garbage. I tried contacting customer support and got no response.

Though they look good on the truck, they have a soft feel when you step on them.
They also look crooked, even though they are mounted properly. The top rail is tight at with the body at the front, but flares out at the rear.
