This is a great addition to our truck. We really needed something to use to keep stuff from flying all over the back while we were driving, be it groceries, tackle boxes or other miscellany. It really does the job and does it well.
For anyone looking for a size reference we’re using this in a 2012 Ram 1500 with a liner and it fits just fine (in fact it can extend more without issue, should the bed of your truck be a bit bigger).
It was very easy to set up after arrival, less than five minutes, there were two of us, but it could easily be done by one person if need be. The bar is heavy enough not to feel like it will buckle under the weight of your items, but it’s not a heavy duty bar either. The net attaches to the bar with a hitch pin on either side My single complaint with this product is that the net doesn’t set quite right, but it’s such a minor problem that it barely registers after you’ve installed it.. The net is small but stretchy so you can fit a decent amount into what seems like a small space. The ratcheting bar is easy to operate and the extendable bar glides smoothly in and out for removal or adjustment.
One thing worth noting is that we have a plastic bed liner installed and if it gets dusty back there, the bar does slip a bit (not much), but figured I should mention it. 😀
I’d certainly buy this again if I were in the market for another and would recommend without hesitation.

Excellent, glad I forked out the extra for a ratchet mechanism. It sits solidly when in place and has yet to slip when keeping “shopping bags” from rolling all over the truck bed. My only minor criticism, is the positioning of the handle means I sometimes have to crawl into the back of the truck bed to fix it in place. A minor consideration considering the difficulty of getting those push and lock bars into position.

The bar is great. Works exactly how I need. The problem is I did not recieve the net that goes with it. Can not contact seller and Amazon gives me 2 options, return or replace. No, I just want the net to go with it. No reason to waste money on shipping item back to have it resent again. Lack of ability to communicate with seller or Amazon is reason for 3 stars. If they contact and correct situation, I will leave a better review.

Easy to use, just pull the handle all the way back to release the ratchet, extend the bar then use the ratchet handle to tighten in place. Release the handle and pull it all the way back again to remove. I didn’t tighten mine in too much because I didn’t want to cause damage to the bed, and it’s held stuff steady for some days now.

Easily used, works well, I like it.

I just use it to hold down cardboard when I take it to the recycling center. Works well but I keep forgetting how to release it.

The product arrived quickly, in fact faster than expected. It was extremely well packaged and easy to unpack.
The installation of the cargo bar and the net was rediculously simple. Frankly, shocked that it took about 60 seconds to securely install. I spent more time wondering if I missed something.
The cargo net/bag slipped easily over the bar and the ratchet and practically positioned itself across the bar. I located the spots on each side of my Avalanche, dropped the bar in place, toggled the ratchet up with a simple press with my thumb and simply ratcheted several times to tighten the ends against the sides of the truck bed with enough tension. Even a couple of very aggressive pulls and shakes by hand failed to displace the secure mounting. Really liked the thick rubber pads securely attached to the bar ends. Makes the bar fit tightly and doesn’t damage the finish.
Now the real test…several extremely heavy items. (2) 5 gallon buckets of coating and a storage box full of tools that takes 2 people to lift and a bag of sand in the cargo bag. After a 5+ mile trip on some very bumpy roads, quite a few sharp turns and deliverately short stops I opened the bed to find everything was exactly where I loaded it. Nothing moved or spilled!!!
The grocery test was next. Tired of trying to pack shopping bags in the truck cab so they didn’t go flying around and having to open all doors to load and then reclaim them at home making it look and feel like a chinese fire drill, I hoped the cargo net would be my salvation.
It was. I quickly loaded 6 very full, top heavy bags from the market in just seconds and without having to juggle the shopping cart from hitting my doors or the cars next to me or worse the dreaded “roll-away” chase the cart fiasco. Loading from the tailgate solved all these and made loading easy. Everything fit in securely. When I got home, again, nothing had moved and I did my best with a few short stops and fast acceleration (as if there is any other kind). Unloading was fast and simple.
I’ve also had to remove the bar several times to use the full bed for larger loads. It was a cinch to release the latch tension, without losing my settings. Put the bar back in and 1 quick ratchet press and it was secured again; easy!
This may be one of my smartest and most useful investments. The price was excellent and considering how much time and hassle its saved me, I’m planning on adding a second bar soon.
Awesome, solid, well made products that really deliver the results I needed!!
Highly recomend. Going to give these as gifts this year to family for their trucks.

I’m using two of this set to hold an insulated panel in place. It seems that when the temperature drops below 10⁰F the waterline in one of my exterior walls freezes. The panel works and so do the load locks.
Oh what did I do with the third one? It’s in the bed of my truck! Keeps gas cans from sliding around.

Works just like it should. The bar has a little flex but it holds heavy cargo boxes and items solid everytime and it has never let me down over months of use. I like it enough that I would happily buy one again if needed. One piece of advice is not to ratchet it too tight in the bed of the truck. One or two clicks is all it takes to hold heavy loads in place. Too much tightening makes it hard to remove (as you’d expect).

I purchased this to keep light things from sliding around in the bed of my RAM under my tonneau cover. I carry a couple of plastic totes at the back of the truck to put things like groceries and shopping bags in. The bar works great for keeping them from sliding to the front of the bed. I also use it to secure gas cans so they do not slide around.
The bar is very light and easy to secure. It does have some wiggle and play in it when extended as it is not made for heavy objects. It works great for its intended purpose. I have a heavy Hitchmate Cargo Bar for heavier loads but for 90% of the things I need to secure, this one works great and quick to set and release.
Customer service is top notch also. Had a tooth strip on me and they fixed me up promptly. Great product and company!
