This product is the second one I have purchsed for my Chevy trucks. I guess that will tell you a lot about TruXport covers.
This is so easy to setup and install, and they are right there to help you by phone….. if you need any that is. Nice people!
The first one I owned I had for almost 3 years and it did very well and still looked good after that time. That one was for the 6.6 ft bed and this one is for the 5.8ft. bed Chevy. The one thing I do recommend is that may wish to buy with your cover some of the manufacturer’s special Protectant Spray for it. The soft vinyl cover is not good with all types of supposedly “protectors” like Armoral or such like that. Many “protectors” build up on the surface, are hard to remove and clean: they don’t look to good after a while….. not sure otherwise which to buy. I just tried out McGuire’s Vinyl Protectant Spray today and it looks very good, but it also brand new too. Why use it? Not just for the protection and new look, which is a great thing too…. but to sort of seal up the leatherette creases and irregular surface that the vinyl has in it’s surface. Without some sort of sealant the dust and wet dirt tend to be very hard to clean out of those fine ridges and dimples. It does look very good, and for the price….. this one is hard to beat. The latching system is simple and almost fool proof. Nothing with humans if really fool proof, right?
    Buy with confidence and enjoy!

Easy to install and a quality product.

Love this thing! It was straight forward, easy to install and the dimensions matched my bed perfectly. My only very minor complaint is about the seal on the top of the tailgate. It does a good job sealing the interior but I have to pop the cover’s latch before closing the tailgate to raise the end slightly and then reclose the cover. If (when) I forget to do this, the tailgate hits the back edge of the seal and fails to latch. No big deal but I had become used to my previous, poorer quality cover that did not require this. Overall I am very pleased with the quality and function of this cover.

I mounted this Tonneau cover on my 2013 GMC short box PU. It went on easy and fits perfectly. The instructions were clear and concise. It looks and works great. The material the cover is made of feels, as seems to be, durable – time will tell.

update: the cover material has a fine surface texture that allows dust and fine dirt to settle into it and be tough to remove. I went to the car wash yesterday and used the soap/brush on it but did not get all of the dust out of the grain. It should come out and clean up but will take more work than I thought it might. When I get it clean I’ll use the Pro-TeX Protectant Spray on it – maybe that will help in the future,

I ordered this product after a bit of research. My friend actually has one of the older versions, and that got me interested. I haven’t had it on my truck but a couple of weeks at this point, but the material and quality feel high and I don’t expect any issues. I installed it by myself – much slower than the manufacturer estimates, but that’s typical for me. I did have to drill a couple of holes through the truck wall bed to accommodate two of the clamp bolts > also had to place a shim in each of these clamps due to the angle. Installed product feels solid, functions great, and looks very good.

This was purchased to replace a dealer installed cover that had worn out. The Tuxedo cover was easy to install and frankly looks better than the much more expensive dealer installed cover. We spent some extra time on alignment only to find out that my truck bed after two collisions was slightly out of alignment. The cover however looks fitted, square and tight. The clamps supplied were easy to use and better that than the dealer originals. The seal strip at the tailgate is much more robust. I have had it on for more than a month and it still looks great.

In just over a month the cover is already cracking where the Velcro strip is attached to it. Yeah the company says it’ll “take a look at it” but since I’m in Canada I have to pay a lot to ship it to them in hopes of what? Getting a new piece of s&@#. Pass. Don’t waste your money on truxedo and just buy an actual cheap one. You’ll get the same result and spend less

Easy to install. No water in the box after a couple of rains.

Fit perfectly on my 2009 Sierra Crew Short Box. Nice and sleek can barely notice it! Did have trouble installing it alone I needed a friends help. Also had to cut my factory bed liner closer to the cab for the brackets to work. Very happy with this purchase its exactly what I wanted in a roll up tonneau. And it has a lifetime warranty on everything !!

Easy to roll up and durable

I’ve had this installed on my truck for about a month so I don’t know long term results but I believe this is one of the best “roll up” style options for the price. It seems to be nice quality and the fitment is great. It installs easy and keeps my truck bed dry. No complaints at all so far!

  12. Tyler

I looked up a lot of reviews, pros and cons before purchasing, etc… overall I was really excited for this product. Once I installed it I instantly got upset that it wasn’t rolling out and aligning in the tracks correctly. If one side was in the other side was out and vice versa. I had to force it down using my body weight. I thought maybe it just needs to settle a little in the open position from being rolled up. After 2 weeks and being able to settle while in the rolled out position, still no improvement. Great looking cover, but for the money, I expect it to work plawlessly which it did not. Maybe it’ll work for you, but it didn’t work out for me.

Bought this for my 2011 Silverado and it works nicely. There are a few gaps in the weather stripping around the edges – mainly towards the rear of the bed, but I rarely keep anything in the back of the truck while not driving so it isn’t a big deal for me. The cover does sit a bit higher than I thought it would, but overall I’m happy with what I have.

As other reviewers have mentioned on this and other sites, you can add extra weatherproofing if you desire. I didn’t and am still happy with what I got. Install was very easy and it’s helping my MPG.
