Mr Mopar –
Have used Valvoline Oils for years racing without issues…the prices are good for fully syn race oil !
Ronnie Gunter –
Good oil. Does the job.
Jason or Jennifer –
It’s got all the vitamins and dinosaurs that these old engines crave. Perfect for flat tappet cams and lifters. A bit spendy, but good oil is cheaper than another new engine

This is the type of oil that should be used in older cars. IE: 60s70s. It contains a zink additive to help lubricate. Works great in my 65 Ford Mustang.
S.D. –
Totally fixed my rear main bearing, it’s almost like I didn’t assemble the engine with 0.005” clearance!
Will –
I have been using this Valvoline VR1 oil in my drag race cars engine since 2005. Doing my winter teardown now and in checking the bearings, all still look like new. Also the camshaft and lifters are good too. So some new gaskets and back together this engine goes for the 2025 season !

I’ve been using ZR-1 engine oil in my daily driver for years a 1977 Buick Regal with 315,000 miles on the meter. It’s the original engine, never had the heads off. I have done other routine maintenance like water and fuel pumps, 2,timing chains and carburetor overhauls but that’s it and it passes the state emissions test every time. It’s all I use now is the ZR-1 oils. I’ve used valvoline products for decades.
